Too bad Dan Rather did not retire from Journalism before Memogate, then he could of at least been known as a slanted Journalist , who did not get caught in a Lie. Too bad for him however good for our country.

No wonder these over-paid over-the-hill lapdogs of the left stick together. I say they should ALL be fired after this shameful exhibition of partisanship on the part of all the alphabet nets. No wonder Fox is whipping their butts this year and that FreeRepublic is growing fantastically. The best part of this was the fact brought out on Fox that when the debate was over, CBS lost over half their audience when Rather's mug appeared on the screen for his "analysis". What saps Viacoms execs are for not dumping this toxic liar! No savvy investor should have a dime in this cheesy outfit.

Don't get caught up in the rich irony of this NewsMax.com story that you fail to get the important message being communicated by Dan Ra
ther, Brokaw and Jennings, by appearing before this "media forum".
Here is there unspoken, yet very real message...
1. The MSM recognizes and is frightened by the power of the internet and a free people speaking the truth.
2. We have made significant strides in threatening their monopolistic hold over disseminating their socialistinc and anti-American version of the news.
The rancid smell of their fear is all over this story.

I can't think of any three dickheads that can match these three for unbridled arrogance.
And when you think of it, they make their living by reading a teleprompter.
They're not even journalists. Maybe they're celebrities but that's the power of the medium, not these three jerks.
I dare say, you could take most reasonably intelligent people and within 30 days you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the rookie and these "distinguished gentlemen."
What a bunch of old farts.

I think we all should be very careful here or the three of them could very well use lies and fraudulent documents to libel us. Nah! They are the establishment news, independent; asking the hard questions and we trust them for the unvarnished truth and well researched, unbiased factual account of what's going on. Now do I have to take my last pills?

Rather: You despise me, don't you?
Bush: Well, if I gave you any thought, I probably would. (Credit to Casablanca, which I saw for the 80th time two nights ago!)

"The rancid smell of their fear is all over this story"
I hope so.
You know today, on Fox News this Morning (by Mara Liaisson), and on ... believe it or not, a Canadian radio talk show that is (maybe??) pro-Bush right now (6:20 p.m. ET) (of course it's buried on a Sunday night!), I just heard two people in two different cities say close versions of the following sentence:
"Republicans, when they have a bad day, they get behind the sandbags and get more ammo."
If there were any more proof that people in the media just regurgitate what they have heard and have no original ideas, I don't know what it is.

Rather once said this on election night 2000: "This race is shakier than cafeteria Jell-O."
Rather is shakier than cafeteria Jell-O.

Excellent point. He has turned into Nixon........worse.

Dan's the son of a ditch digger. There certainly is nothing wrong with that. But Dan should stop digging his hole any deeper right about now, and just disappear!
To: kattracks
Ha! Ha!
Dan has lost his Frequency!
Dan, a long time ago, switched from reading the news to fabricating news for the left wingers.
Isn't is nice that we can watch beautiful people reading the news, fair and balanced, over at the FOX NEWS CHANNEL!

"I don't have a political agenda." "I'm an independent journalist," <-
Dan - you are a disgraced and biased newsreader. A real journalist should be objective.
You are not and never have been.

Brokaw singled out the Media Research Center's L. Brent Bozell, who the network newsman said was "doing as much damage as he can, and I choose that word carefully, to the credibility of the news divisions." All BS aside, Tom and his gang are doing the damage on their own. To blame Brent Bozell is laughable. That said, the Media Jihad may just get their wish in this election. If so, I hope we are still alive in 2008 to try correct this monopoly.
