10/1/2004: UN: The Terrorists' Best Friend
New video released by the Israel Defense Forces shows Palestinian terrorists using a United Nations van to transport rockets: Footage shows terrorists using UN-marked vehicle (link).

The Israel Defense Forces released video footage Friday taken by an unmanned aircraft showing what appeared to be Palestinians in the Gaza Strip loading rockets into a vehicle marked “U.N.”

The black-and-white footage, taken by a drone - or unmanned aircraft - flying over the Gaza Strip, showed the militants driving off in the white van, with “U.N.” marked in black on its roof.

Israel has often accused terrorists of using United Nations vehicles and headquarters to launch attacks. U.N. officials were not immediately available for comment.

On Tuesday 25 May 2004 Israel Channel 10 aired the photo shown below of armed Palestinians using UN ambulances in their terrorist attacks against Israel. The photographs was taken at the Gaza Zeintun neighborhood about two weeks ago, on the same night the first Israeli Armored Personal Carrier was exploded, clearly show armed Palestinians boarding a UN-marked ambulance with a UN flag, and flee the scene. The reporter stressed that this was not a Palestinian Red Cross ambulance, known to have transported armored Palestinians since the outbreak of events, but rather a supposedly neutral ambulance of the UN.

Then a Reuters photographer on the same night took video of the incident that clearly shows a "war crime" committed in Rafah - the use of ambulances to transport combatants

This video was filmed by an IDF unit during their operations there. It was taped around 6 months ago. The terrorists were preparing for an IDF confortation and you can see the numerous kids there being rounded up to surround terrorists waiting for the IDF to arrive.

The use them for 2 reasons:

1. the IDF will have a harder time shooting at the terrorists due to the many civilians, therefore the terrorists can keep shooting at the IDF much more safely.

2. The terrorists are hoping the civilians are killed by the IDF for propaganda purposes.
