There seems to be two separate and distinct camps: those that think Bush did badly and might lose, and those that think Bush did OK and will win.

Are there any others, such as myself, that think Bush did very poorly Thursday night but will still prevail in Nov? For whatever reason, he let both himself and his supporters down, but luckily for all of us, Kerry committed some major blunders.

Team Bush got the words, and now they have the phrase "Kerry Doctrine" in which to sear, sear I tell you, what appeasement really means to the long-term prospects of this country.

Kerry comitted huge blunders, but the fact that Bush didnt jump on them right then and there means that when the Bush campaign attacks Kerry for Global Test, Iran Nuclear Fuel and No Bunker busters, the public will less likely to listen.

God how I wish Jeb won in 1994!!!!

Yep, me too. I think Bush came off very poorly in the debate and to try and convince myself otherwise would put me on the same level as the Kerry Koolaid drinkers. Despite that, it's just one debate, most polls haven't shown a big effect from it, and Bush has plenty of time to make a better showing. It's still Bush's race to lose.

As long as the media is in Kerrys camp we will see numbers like this. Ask the DNC and Newsweek what the result of their internals were, and the story would be quite different. Bush will win.
