I have a grip thank you -- on reality. Let's face facts and stop deluding ourselves here. Bush has left himself open for slaughter and repeating the same tired lines at pep rallies isn't going to work. He's preaching to the choir at these events. It's not his base he needs to worry about.
Bush has let himself get boxed-in with his only option left is to come out swinging which the media will spin as to aggressive.
I'm sure Bush will do better in the next debate because he couldn't do any worse. If Bush and company knows where OBL is they better send all the troops to capture him as that is about the only thing left which will change the focus of this race.

You're one of the few others here, beside me, that is willing to face reality at the risk of being flamed. The rest are being Pollyannas. W. blew a golden opportunity to nail to bury Kerry (and I don't know whether to laugh out loud or shake my head in disgust at those people who think that W. flubbed the debate on purpose as some kind of "strategy"--WTF?!), an opportunity that won't come along again. From here on in it's going to be trench warfare.

"....repeating the same tired lines...."
Oh,boy, isn't that the truth! It worked for awhile, but it is losing its effect!! WHAT IS THE CAMPAIGN DOING? Has he got incompetents around him? Are they the same old tired people from Daddy's regime?
Whoever it is, they are NOT doing a good job. I wonder if W CAN come with something besides the same old rhetoric.
