If it weren't for offended Christian morality, the whole gay/straight thing would be a non-issue.

Amazingly, that's true.

If God hadn't said it was sinful, nobody would care about it.

But since He did say it was sinful, we are now burdened by the fact that SOMEBODY has to warn the homosexuals that they need to repent, or face eternal damnation.
