PLEASE DON'T CLICK MY LINK ABOVE. IT SOMEHOW GOT PASTED OFF OF MY CLIPBOARD AND IS AN A URL OF SOME SORT.
It cracks me up, these guys just keep reliving the 2000 election over and over. What a pathetic life.
First it was Florida, now it's "making faces". They don't understand that when Gore was doing it, he looked like an condesending a**hole. On the other hand, President Bush just looked like he couldn't believe the CRAP coming out of Kerry's mouth.
Personally, I was making a lot worse faces!
I like it. A little humor can be very effective in countering this if done well. Good idea.
Me too, and more besides! I had to drink 2 glasses of wine just to be able to sit through it.
I had the volume off because, frankly I just couldn't listen to Kerry for half of 90 minutes. As I sat at my computer I started to notice that I could tell when Kerry was speaking because I kept catching his hand movements out of the corner of my eye.
I normally don't poke at people's physical traits but his hand movements were pretty ridiculous.
When someone starts talking with their hands, I start looking for the lies in what they're saying. Hand talking is a boaster's trait.
It's not the same, because Gore's sighs looked pre-planned and intentional. People can sense the difference between that sort of reaction and a sincere one.
I love it! I hope late night comedy picks up on this.
Jorge, you're off base with this. But I've noticed that frequently from you especially since last night.
Show me where I'm off base.
I'm right on the money with this.... and I was last night as well.
Those who challenged me last night when I claimed people would say Kerry won the debate woke up to several polls, ALL of which say I was right.
They woke up to hear EVEN conservatives on talk radio and TV making the SAME comments I made last night.
And the idea that I am off base for saying Bush's expressions of anger, nervousness and frustration during the debate were NOT GOOD is just absurd. You're off base.
Exactly. The President's reaction was a true reaction based on the lies coming out of Kerry's mouth.
And the idea that I am off base for saying Bush's expressions of anger, nervousness and frustration during the debate were NOT GOOD is just absurd. You're off base.
You're one of the few folks here that agrees with me on this. Many others are taking on a Pollyanna attitude here. This reminded me of the '84 Reagan-Mondale debates, but Kerry is a lot more insidious and dangerous than Mondale, he's no honest liberal who'll admit he'll raise your taxes, let anyone other sinister things he has in store.
KERRY: Secretary of State Colin Powell told this president the Pottery Barn rule: If you break it, you fix it. Now, if you break it, you made a mistake. It's the wrong thing to do. But you own it. And then you've got to fix it and do something with it. Now that's what we have to do. There's no inconsistency. Soldiers know over there that this isn't being done right yet. I'm going to get it right for those soldiers, because it's important to Israel, it's important to America, it's important to the world, it's important to the fight on terror. But I have a plan to do it. He doesn't.
Honestly, W looked at him like he had three noses!
Turn on a musical number and then look at Kerry's arms during this videa and can't you just imagine him being the conductor of the music? I'm pretty funny to think about.
