Everyone should have grab bars drilled and installed in the shower and bath tubs. Home Depot and Lowes have them for about $12 a piece. I installed some in my father's bathroom.

We helped facilitate my Mom (80) and Dad's (85) move into their new condo last year. We insisted the contractor put grab bars in both bathrooms, shower and tub.
