Hugh notes JFK / Cuban Missile Crisis story was all wrong.
I've read elsewhere that the comments about visiting KGB basement was wrong, too, in that Kerry specified name of Nazi concentration camp, not a square in Russia. Frankly I questioned the legitimacy of that story at all because it had all the tone and hallmarks of one of Kerry's ficticious lies he brings up in those kinds of situations ala Christmas in Cambodia.

Fox roundtable: Mort, Charles K. and Ceci C. all say Kerry won. When shown that the polls say most think Kerry won but support for both either stayed the same or Bush actually gained Charles says give it a week and Ceci agrees. We'll see. I don't think so.

That's like Gore's moment in the 2000 debate when he said he remembered visiting flood victims in Texas with the FEMA director.
