Hugh on fire with the correct analysis on last night's debate.
They already support Kerry anyway.
What is saber saying?
"Bush looked incredibly PO'd as if he: 1)knew something he couldn't disclose that would have blown Kerry out of the water..."
Perhaps that Kerry got the questions in advance? There is speculation about that and it is being reported that Kerry winked at Lehrer at the end...
I wonder if they had some sort of filter on Kerry's microphone. In fact, it looked like they may have had some sort of yellow light on President Bush, and the split screen with his podium a bit higher than Kerry's got irritating after awhile. Kerry's height is mostly fluff and good insoles, if you ask me. The President is about 6' isn't he? Kerry's hair is fluffed up a good inch and a half, and if his insoles add another inch, there probably isn't really a whole lot of difference in their height really.
LOL..that's true....but, I consider *undecideds*(if there is really such a thing) a brain dead idiot..
Krauthammer has been wrong before and is wrong this time, too.
I like him all right, but wrong he is.
Hewitt doesn't just think Bush won, he is playing an extended clip that illustrates Bush "pummelled him" (Hewitt's words).
What's funny is that while the bill was cruising through congress, it was always referred to as the "Norwood/Dingle bill," since it was Republican Charlie Norwood who introduced it in the Republican House. Gore transposed the names, putting Democrat Dingle in front, and coining what is admittedly the most ridiculous sounding piece of legislation ever introduced.
The Ed Schultz (sp?) "Big Head Ed" Show recently started airing here. I usually listen everyday, for awhile anyway - until I can't stand anymore.
Today he was just all kinds of giddy - laughing, "Doesn't victory feel good folks?"
Fat Head Ed is as much in touch with reality as his flip-flop hero is.
Some of the things these people say just makes my jaw drop.

You make a lot of sense. I have always enjoyed and respected Charles' opinions, but forget the "liberal vacuum "in which he lives. Well said!
I've spoken to a couple moms today about the debate .. I just let them talk and give their opinion before I made a comment
They did say that Kerry won on style ..
BUT
They also said that Bush "spoke from the heart" and they trust what Bush said and that Kerry came off as "too much like a politician"
President Bush was set up by the moderator.
Considering what he had to work with he did good.
" He literally asked, 'who is talking about leaving Iraq?'."
I saw the same clip and I shook my head, as I must have imagined the thousands of anti war,
" Bush Is A War Monger "
" Bush Kills Innocent Iraqis,"
" No More War "
" Get Out Of Iraq "
marchers outside the Republican convention in NYC.
" The wrong war at the wrong time " ring a bell with any Democrats ?
It's becoming pretty obvious that you have to check your brain at the door, before going into a Kerry rally.
And, frankly, Bush speaks louder and more articulately from the heart than simply in words.
Glad to hear that...I have no one to bounce my opinions off of...all my friends and family love Bush...LOL
So what you're saying is Gore is responsible for the merciful shelving of this piece of legislation? Even funnier!!
He says the damage won't show up in the polls for a few days.
Krauthammer is not to be taken lightly.
That's right, and that's why I think the premature sigh of relief I've been seeing here is distressing. We can make all the excuses we want about how "everyone knows W. isn't a good debator" to justify how his subpar performance won't hurt him, or--and this I find to be surreal--that it was some kind of "strategy" on Bush and Co.'s part. That's a laugh--maybe I'm being dense, but what kind of strategy is it to purposely turn in a tentative, defensive performance and not use the ammunition you have at your disposal so you can trip up your opponent? Makes no sense. W had plenty of points and countershots he could have made during the debate and, inexplicably, didn't use them.
So even tho' W's polls are holding up now, that means nothing. Trends take a little while to show up. I wonder what we will be saying next week.
"plus Cheney is going to pound these things home on Tuesday evening."
From a historical perspective, how many viewers watch the Presidential debates versus the Vice-Presidential debates? I also believe that Cheney is going to mop up the floor with the lawyer pipsqueak and score some payback for last night. But if very few people watch it, it won't be of much value for the Republican side.
What is the format for the Vice-Presidential debate? Is it the same as last night? Sorry to be so uninformed about this.
