I used to live in Waynesboro...I cant say I was ever really impressed by the area and I grew up there :)

but Gettysburg is out of the valley of hell, but just barely.

everyone in Waynesboro was seemingly related to someone else, kinda like Rock Ridge in Blazing Saddles :)

We escaped up here from DC by way of San Francisco (my husband, Old Phone Man). We never thought we would see something like this.

If I'm correct, Gettyburg and the surrounding area are pretty heavily GOP.

Correct? Or no?

I live in Shippensburg, and was never impressed with Waynesboro myself, but don't bust on it too much. There is an underground bunker/government operation in the surrounding hills in the area around Waynesboro that was one of the "secure locations" for the safe keeping of President Cheney during the days following 9-11.
