Why this man is still allowed to moderate presidential debates baffles me.In his book "The Last Debate",Lehrer depicts a "fictional" character(debate moderator) who is given damaging information regarding the right-wing Republican candidate and has to decide whether to use that information or not.The fact that he wrote such a book, obviously biased towards Republicans(evil, hence the "damaging" info),should have disqualified him as moderator.

The idea that any breathing human being who is not brain dead does not have a political opinion is ridiculous. It was a piece of brainwashing done on the population by a certain group of people who call themselves "journalists". For decades that did a pretty good job of convincing much of the American people that a journalist is a completely unbiased creature or is miraculously able to shut of his own tilt when in professional mode.
We should NEVER allow one these self-proclaimed unbiased journalists to run anything as important as a presidential debate. The next time, we should simply make sure we pick 2 or more partisans. An equal number from each side. At that point we have a chance at an equal number of hard questions being tossed to both candidates and we can stop furthering this lie about the sainted profession of journalism and the notion that any one of those within the profession will be completely unbiased and fair to both sides.
