We had a heck of a storm last night. I was up at work with Keith when it hit. Power going off, generator's cranking on, alarms going off. Lightening shooting sideways across the sky. Woweeeeee that was fun.
In the desert we never had anything but sunshine.
I have to be in Austin, TX for work this week...so I'm flying in at 10am so I can be IN the hotel WITH the race on and ready by 1330h...laptop is primed and ready to go!
Hope we have a clean race this weekend...we really don't need "The Big One"....too much is at stake...
Lead one lap and then just finish baby...that's all I want!
I figured the only way to score some points above y'all was to be different and risk it all and hope the"Big One" doesn't involve my teams...

How a senator can, over the years, vote to cut our intelligence and military programs and vote to withhold funding troops for Iraq and the Middle East, & then, at a debate, claim that he will increase the number of special forces and increase the number of troops in Iraq to quell the insurgency, is beyond me. :-|
There sure were a lot of wrecks there in the ARCA race today.
I also hope it's a great race without the big one!!
The guys starting near the front definitely have the advantage of staying out of trouble.

Wendell Scott was the only black driver to win a Nascar Grand National race. (1963) He was not allowed in Victory Lane to accept the trophy. Sad.

Was Robby Gordon ever sanctioned for wrecking Mayfield and Stewart in his fit of pique? That was one of the bozo moves of all time.
I hope he lost his ride. The guy is a loose cannon.
NOTE: Even though Dave Blaney qualified the #99 car, it has been reported that Carl Edwards will likely drive the car in Sunday's EA Sports 500. Despite being listed as 'NE', if Edwards starts the race, he will earn all the fantasy points for the race.
I'm still trying to come up with a bump-draft lineup (I'm not quite close enough to bump using the usual players). WSG, if you see smoke right behind you, that'll be me taking out the field after my strategery blows up (glock, think infield when you see The Big One :-)
Welcome, NC (Sports Network) - Robby Gordon was placed on probation Thursday for the rest of the 2004 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series season by Richard Childress Racing.
The probation stems from an incident during Sunday's Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire International Speedway. Early in the race, Gordon was involved in an accident with Greg Biffle and reportedly later said on his in-car radio that he would "get" Biffle.
Gordon then intentionally tried to retaliate for the altercation with Biffle by causing an accident, which resulted in Tony Stewart and Jeremy Mayfield being involved in a wreck.
Stewart and Mayfield are two of the 10 drivers competing for the Nextel Cup championship.
Following the race, Gordon also made an obscene gesture to the media outside his trailer. On Monday, he apologized for his behavior.
"Many athletes have made mistakes in their careers and would take back the negative things they've said or done if they could," Childress said. "As a result of his actions last weekend in New Hampshire, I have placed Robby on probation for the rest of the season."
Gordon's contract is set to expire at the end of the season and the team has not been in negotiations to extend the deal. He is currently 22nd in the standings with five top-10s in 27 races.
Ricky Craven and Dave Blaney have been mentioned as possible replacements for Gordon.
Gordon, a Bellflower, CA native, has three career Nextel Cup wins and won both road-course events (Sonoma, Watkins Glen) in 2003.
