Good.
Robby has serious talent, but I wouldn't trust him out there whipping around in close formation at 175 mph if I were a driver.
The "Days of Thunder" hardbutt racing is part of the sport's allure, but the margin of life or death is too fine to allow maniacs to run roughshod.

Ok then, I will watch my mirrors for Flash and his boys.
Just follow the Pied Piper......
Careful on pit road. ;-)
I've got Mikey behind me today, he said he would do whatever he needed to for Jr to win. Hmmmmm.....then of course there is Kenny the Wallace.

I stupidly went 9 for 9 already with Junior, not saving him for the last plate race.
A friend of ours had a great line the other day, when a NASCAR newbie asked him "When will DE jr. stop being called "Junior"?
Answer - "Not till the last #3 decal weathers off the last rear window in America..."

News: Terry Labonte Announcement AND: #5-Terry Labonte has scheduled a press conference next week to announce his plans. Labonte is expected to announce his semi-retirement and run a partial schedule next year.(Tennessean)
AND Labonte said Saturday he will run a schedule of at least 10 races each in 2005 and 2006 for Rick Hendrick, his car owner since 1986 [actually since 1994]. A formal announcement will be made at an Oct. 12 press conference at the Hendrick shops. Labonte, who has driven #5 for Hendrick, will switch to car #44, the number he drove for Billy Hagan from 1979-1986.(High Point Enterprise), so looks like Kyle Busch will move up to Cup in 2005.(10-3-2004)

Hey all.. mind if I join the NASCAR thread?
Countdown to green just started... gut all my munchies ready, looking forward to a good race, restrictor plates be damned ;-)
I will, of course, be rooting for Ryan Newman, who's career I have watched since the beginning. I think if he didn't have so much bad luck, he would have won a championship by now.. last year probably. 8 wins, the most of any driver, but then about 4 or 5 DNFs, usually due to stupid crap of freak accidents that weren't his fault.
His first year of Winston Cup as a rookie was the same year I started getting really into NASCAR, so I have watched him right from the jump. When he came back from a lap down to win, without any power steering. And all the times he has come back from being sometimes even 2 laps down to finish in the top 5, the kid is on fire, I am surprised I don't hear more about him. He will be a force to be reconed with, mark my words.
Enjoy the race, everyone.

Hold that thought; the G-men turned it over, then got the ball back.
Don't tell my fellow Cheeseheads, but I took the Giants today. Sherman's lost the team, and I just don't see a journeyman guard being successful at center with Flanagan gone for the year.

Welcome to the party. I like Ryan (Rocket Man) too, at least on Fridays. He's just way too inconsistent on Sundays for now (and he tends to get airborne at the blasted plate tracks).
