This morning I am tired, of the election, of the drama, of the television, the pundits who are all acting like GWB is going for an Oscar, who are reveling in Kerry's pretty good poses last nite. this is so very serious that this fog of commentary and polls seems somehow beneath us as a country. the choice is so very clear. I wish the election were today.I am ready for this country to decide if we are indeed prisoners of the product selling coiffed media all grandiose enough to love zinging the man who is leadiing and defending us or if we are worthy of what has been given to us. I feel like GWB. I just want this silliness, this media constructed show, to be over. Lets just vote damnit. If GWB is not elected, we deserve the consequences and those of us who know it, who understand what is at stake, will live to try to recover what we have. I think Bush will win, I have to think we are not a country with a majority of fools and will of the wisps. But I am sick and tired of this election.

"..or if we are worthy of what has been given to us."

I hear ya. We are a nation of instant gratification. Remember staying up late watching our military swoop into Iraq and how high Bush's approval rating was? Then once the adrenelin rush was over and people realized that in war, soldiers die, they turned against him. One of the things that sickens me most are the relatives of fallen soldiers blaming Bush. The same families that are SO PROUD of their military sons and daughters can't fathom that they may have to give their lives for their country. And the newspapers and media just love this sort of drama...crying and screaming mothers, angry fathers. And the sheep buy into it and Bush becomes the face of evil.

I'm sick of the media portraying a decent, honorable, Godly man as a babbling idiot and warmonger. Sometimes I wonder if our own citizens aren't the real enemy. The REAL evil. I admire Bush for his optimistic view of the American people and sometimes wonder how he keeps his cool head and kind heart. America is like a little child screaming "I want it MY way..I want it NOW!!" They want someone to fix their crappy little lives without moving from the armchair. God bless President Bush for being a true leader...even for those that hate him.

Sheesh, see what your post did to me??? lol

I am sick and tired of this election

The Dems have been campaigning every day since the appointment of Robert Reich to the cabinet. Every word out of their mouths has been a trial balloon, and all of them are drifting in the wind. WTC911 shut them up for about six months, but otherwise it has been over a decade of Dems searching for a political philosophy. Searching, searching, searching, and not finding.
