“Today’s indictment alleges that Remedy hired a number of illegal aliens and did so basically knowingly and then they falsely certified that they had in fact checked the information provided by those unauthorized workers when in fact, they had never even attempted to verify the information for hundreds of people,” Shelby said. “The managers, after being confronted by the FBI with these discrepancies, attempted to conceal the fact that they had not performed verification by intentionally falsifying information on I-9s and creating whole new I-9s — intentionally doing so — and then delivering those I-9s to the JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) so they could use that information in their investigation.”
