"And please, give the American public an iota of credit to be able to recognize BS when they see it"

---They didn't see it in 1992 so what makes you think they'll see through it anymore clearly today?

1992 was special circumstances, you had discontent at the incumbent due to a recession, a third party candidate who muddied the waters, a president who broke his most famous pledge("read my lips"), and the collapse of the USSR (and the US display of power in the Gulf War) that made people feel invulnerable to foreign powers and think domestic policies are the only things that mattered.

NONE of this applies in 2004.

Well for one, John Kerry is no Bill Clinton. Some would call that a complement, but if you're the Democratic Presidential Nominee, its a handicap. You gotta have charm and style--two traits that are completely lacking in John Kerry. And on top of that, he's not likable. Even fellow libs can't stand the son of a bitch--pardon my French.

Because of 9/11 and Beslain (sp) that's why

We are in a war with monsters who kill children and do not have the luxary of getting the permission from the French to fight it.

It is not the economy, it is our survival that is at stake and the American people realize that.
