"But, on pure debating points, Kerry did better."
I also debated in high school and college. I cannot concede any credibility to "debating points" without convincing content.
Saying "I have a plan" "I will do better" etc. does NOT win the debate . . . even if you say it "convincingly" -- that would be acting points, not debating points, IMO.
Kerry lost. Bush won.
WLW700 had a NKU professor who trains debaters who said the same thing: Kerry did not have anything convincing to demonstrate that he could actually DO better than Pres. Bush.

Isn't that pretty much what I just said? Kerry was weak on facts, but just seemed better prepared. But, that was to be expected, as he has spent 20 years debating in the Senate.

Kerry talked louder and faster and that is being translated into "he won the debate".
I am biased, but I don't think Kerry's comments will stand the test of time while Pres. Bush's comments will.
Shall we start with Kerry's comments about abolishing our bunker buster nukes, the Global Test, $200 billion spent in Iraq, etc.?
