My impression is its a draw. Its not where Senator Kerry needs to go to change the dynamics of this race. President Bush held his ground so that's enough to allow him to keep his lead. He would really have had to mess it up badly to fall behind his opponent. Its not going to happen. Unless the next two debates result in a knockout blow to the President, he should get by enough to win a second term in November. Just my 2 cents verdict on tonight's debate.

I agree. Kerry has committed to using Iraq has his centerpiece for the rest of the campaign and tonight he needed to put the President in a corner on that issue and he didn't. The next 2 debates will be easier for the President and don't forget what Karl Rove said yesterday about having a couple of 'suprises' for Kerry in the next few weeks.
