Agreed. The cringe factor from Bush tonight is very high.
Too repetitive. Too mundane. He could have killed Kerry five times (by my count) and let the opportunity pass.
He's got a good closing statement, but I'm afraid some people turned this off.
Bush's close is strong. Better then kerry......
kerry did the budda thing with his hands
i wish someone would give his wife a hairbrush
Kerry handed the Swiftboat vets a HUGE baseball bat to bludgeon him with when he said "I've never waivered"
I can see the French and Germans lining up now to support the "wrong war at the wrong time."
You tell them Johnny!!!!! A true look at the common man.!!!!
"Too repetitive. Too mundane. He could have killed Kerry five times (by my count) and let the opportunity pass."
The things he did are the things he always did - stay on his message, repeat it as necessary.
Those are the things all his democrat debating opponents (who said they lost to him) are his most effective debating techniques. He stays on message.
W's debate coaches need to be merciless when they review tonight's tapes with him. He can and will do better. The week leading up to the next debate is going to be one giant media hatchet job and push poll extravaganza, so fasten your seat belts and keep the faith, folks.
We WILL prevail.
Do you not understand that FREEDOM and HOPE are Lynchpin to this 80 year war we are in?
Without hope it is lost
The Pres has a long term vision that includes HOPE for those less fortunate than us
Bush had a very good closing statement, but my word...rest could have been a lot better.
He missed many opportunities to bring serious questions for Kerry.
I love W but I was cringing too. Kerry didn't win but Bush did not put him away like he could of. Kerry lied and was negative the whole way but the president hesitated too much and repeated himself too much. The most important debate will be the last one. No one will remember this one by the 3rd debate.
I think Bush's message will look fine in the papers, but I agree with you that there were some cringing moments tonight. There were no gaffes, no gotchas, so I'm pleased about that.
