I thought Bush was doing terrribly the first 30-40 minutes but once he calmed down he started to hit his stride.

He may have been a little nervous but I think it was Kerry's lies that got him riled more than nervousness.

Overall I have to say Kerry did better as a debator but Bush sounds passionate in defending his policies. That has to count for something.

Excellent analysis.

Most of the media today was saying that Kerry needed to sell himself tonight and make himself clear on the issues, and I think he has missed that opportunity.

The President sure has made me nervous though, but I agree that his passion does count for something.
