I disagree. I think you are really underestimating the listener or viewer who will be swayed by this. I think President Bush is doing just fine.

Kerry's attitude and manner are very telegenic,
but he is consistently looking away from the audience and at Lehrer.
Bush has stayed relentlessly on message. Kerry has criticized, but this debate is basically following the AlGore I debate. AlGore looked fabulous, but on reflection, he was a jerk. I remember watching the Freeps scream that night, not knowing we had won.
Kerry has not made a convincing case that Bush should be replaced.
