Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
I noticed that, too. Damn, why isn't Dubya more on the offense... *sigh*
Agree. President Bush must stand straighter. He is leaning on the podium which is not a commanding position for any debate. Keep praying everyone...that is the best we can give President Bush.
Ok,,everyone is entitled to their view,,,we can all agree on that...
we don't have to parrot each other,if some are upset or whatever,,that's cool
if some are happy,,coooool
I don't like Kerry,,he is a total LIAR,,,and no one is calling him on it
I'm trying O FReepmeister - I'm really trying...but Bush seems unable to call Kerry on his misrepresentations (read: lies). So far, I'm disappointed. Bush's bumbling tonight isn't helping his case either.
Maybe I just need a beer - or two.
Que va amigo! No REAL leader spends his time refuting every lie his opponent parrots. That not only looks petty, it is letting the opponent set the agenda and looks defensive.
Most of Kerry's lies are obvious and those that are not will be picked apart by the talking heads after the debate.
In any case Bush has called Kerry on the most important lies. Bush is doing great.
"I know he's not a smooth talker"
"He may not be a smooth talker, but he's a straight shooter" - Zell Miller
Notice how Kerry has called W a liar so many times without actually saying it? "here's the REAL STORY on North Korea"
Piece of $hit, weasel-a$$, chees-eating, surrender monkey, pi$$ant!
W should just hit him and get it over with; then walk through the crowd giving eastwood's speech from the end of the Unforgiven
Jeez no kidding? He's now saying we're supposed to work through the African Union? Those thugs? Oh-oh, a back-door draft!
Dubya's winning this debate. It doesn't look it -- in fact he looks like c*ap -- and everybody is going to say afterwards he lost, but at the end the votes are going to go to him.
You didn't expect this thread to be on overload tonight? Don't flip out. Watching the debate is worse than being on this thread.
Piffle
In retrospect, Al Gore's voice and tone were much more annoying than Kerry's.
The President has a coalition against N. Korea. Kerry wants to go it alone.
hey guys.. cant watch. dont want -any-details. just overall.. who is ahead? thanks!
re:Kerry, I would have been a better choice-
"You walked into the party like you were walking onto a yacht
Your hat strategically dipped below one eye
Your scarf it was apricot
You had one eye on the mirror as you watched yourself go by....
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, i'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?
President Bush is a morning person, like me, and we don't do very well in the evening............
Draft Alert!
I don't think the President is doing as well as he could, and I think the Senator is doing as well as any Democrat hoped.
But to throw in the towel at this point is pathetic. I'm embarrassed by the lack of intestinal fortitude here.
This election is eminently winnable.
So far this debate is a draw.
NUKE FULE? This is HUGH!!!!
W is doing much better now- Kerry is still calm but what has he said substantial? NOTHING. He has no more plans on the table than he did before.
