1. that the average person, applying contemporary community standards, would find that the work, taken as a whole, appeals to prurient interest; 2. that the work depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by the applicable law; and 3. that the work, taken as a whole, lacks serious literary, artistic, political, and scientific value.
I will not abandon morality simply because the insane left champions evil as good.
"I will not abandon morality simply because the insane left champions evil as good."
No one is asking you to.
BTW, did you happen to watch A & E's Hercule Poirot series last Sunday ?
In case you don't know Hercule Poirot was one of Agatha Christie's characters, in this case played by David Suchet.
Suchet is brilliant, but they have apparently put in a new director and or producer.
That person added a totally unnecessary very graphic sex scene, say four or five seconds, into the story - which was shown on prime time. In the second Poirot later on, this same person turned one of the characters into a homosexual and had him kissing another male character.
Agatha Christie was probably revolving in her grave at about 30,000 rpm. Her books never included that kind of crap.
While I loved the old series, if this occurs again I will quit watching them.
I prefer my mysteries unmixed with pornography. If I want porn I'll buy it.
