With regard to the question of Kerry being ahead among all REGISTERED voters but behind among LIKELY voters, we need to act with the sure knowledge that this presidential election will be very high turnout (legal or illegal) so that basing any hope at all on "likely" voters is irrelevant. Millions of "unlikely" voters are going to vote legally, and millions of "even more unlikely" voters are going to vote illegally. SO we need to act scared and keep working until the polls close 11/2.
