And not only that but O'Reilly claims he won't give the questions ahead of time and Kerry can't take that chance.
O'Reilly really believes that an appearance on his show will influence the election. His head has swelled to the point where they had to enlrage the entrance to the Fox studios.
Yesterday, on the Radio Factor, he let it slip: "I know John Kerry...I've been to his house."
He may know him and have been to his house but belive me he will be tougher on him than he was on Bush....watch closely...he likes Bush and the only reason he is not hammering Kerry more is to keep up appearances
Yeah, I watched it and President Bush was great. But O'Reilly was a hoot. I mean this guy really thinks he's the greatest journalist ever. (Everone is AFRAID to come on his show!!) Bill tends to think he's the most hard hitting, informative interviewer. I get laughing at him. Like his question to W...What don't the American........people....................know.....................
about.....................................................you? He had to drag it out. It was hilarious. Of course W didn't know. How could he know what people don't know about him? What an assinine question.
I also read that Bill said that he's known Kerry for 25 years. Of course that depends on the meaning of known!
Some Observations from good ol' Uncle Sam:
1. O'R did a 30 minute interview with the President last week. He then chopped it into 3 parts so that he could create a ratings bonanza over 3 days, and he and Fox hyped the dickens out of it over the weekend. He showed the bulk of the interview on days 1 and 2, and only left about 5-7 minutes or so for day 3.
2. Even when inverviewing the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES, O'Reilly STILL thinks this is all about HIM. His "agreeing or disagreeing" with Bush's statement on this or that; his deep and insightful interview "strategy"; his ability to aid a candidate simply by putting that candidate on "his" show. He remains insufferable.
3. The President was GREAT. Relaxed, confident, secure in his actions and beliefs, able to parry with the Bloviator at several times in ways that seemed to catch even the Bloviator himself by surprise.
4. O'Reilly has used this interview to basically get down on his hands and knees and GROVEL publicly to John Kerry to come in for an interview. Virtually every "panel" and segement he had all week included references to how Bush's appearance helped him in the polls and how Kerry NEEDS to come in and face the Factor if he wants any chance of being elected. O"REILLY WANTS A KERRY INTERVIEW MORE THAN ANYTHING IN THE WORLD RIGHT NOW, and he is shamelessly goading, daring and pleading with Botox Man to comply.
5. O'R announced that he will replay the ENTIRE 30-minute interview with President Bush on Monday Nov 1, or Election Eve. He also said: I will replay my interview with John Kerry on the same show assuming Kerry comes in for an interview before then (see my point #4 above). Another not so subtle bribe to get Kerry to come in. But at least we can see the entire 30 minutes with Bush hopefully without any more Mary Ann Marsh demo-spin [hey, I thought that was supposed to be a NO-SPIN ZONE!!!]
6. Uncle Sam loves President Bush... Uncle Sam cannot stand the arrogant, self-absorbed Bloviator.
Good synopsis of O'Reilly's brand of journalism ("equal playing field/radical fringe")
oreilly has let his ego go unchecked for too long....his whole show now is built on trying not to upset the liberals so the MSM might possibly some day refer to him as a journalist.....to this point, the biggest embarrasment to fox news has been trying to pass off geraldo as a journalist when his career should be seen in the same light as jerry springer.....bill oreilly thinks he's a big shot now due to his conservative following making him tops in the ratings, and thinks he can disparage the right-wing to pull in some liberal fans while his old fans put up with it since bill doesn't think they'll turn to cbs for their news
One night, not too long ago; O'R offered that "Kerry is a friend of mine - and I don't believe he would 'do that'. . ." - responding perhaps to Dick Morris on some criticism of Kerry. . .but whomever; along the same lines.
(He remains incredulous to Morris when he speaks of the special horrors of Hillary as well; O'R responding that 'she can't be THAT bad!')
p.s. of sorts. . .am wondering what kind of 'friendship' as for sure; they do not travel in the same circles; save for an occasional Sunday morning mass, perhaps. . .
I just want Kerry to sign the 180.
The smile on Bush's face throughout the interiew was priceless. He laughed at several questions. He looked like he was thinking, "Who is this dork?"
W was very good.
I disagree with him vehemently on securing the borders and illegal immigration but we will deal with that after he is reelected.
Kerry lied while good men died.
