Posted on 09/30/2004 5:06:28 AM PDT by psychopuppy

Anyone Catch the third part of the Bush inteview on the factor, O'Reilly finally got rid of Colmes and brought in Tony Snow as the counterside of Mary Ann Marsh. Tony got to talk about the complete interview. Marsh tried to get in the last word but O'Reilly cut her off.

I think part 3 must have been all of 2 minutes long. I tuned in at 8:05 and missed it!

As usual, President Bush was articulate (how much of the MSM will report that aspect of the interview -- oops I forgot, most of the MSM is ignoring the interview), thoughtful and direct on his points. O'Reilly tried to slip him up by changing direction a bit but President Bush stuck to his points and even the talking head liberal Mary Ann whats her name agreed that he was focused. Good interview. They should play all of the interview together at one time on a weekend show perhaps. Tony Snow was far better than Colmes who looks at everything in such a miserable way. By the way, is Alan Colmes healthy because he really looks drawn and his face is looking kind of scary. Liberals. What can you say?

All I know is I heard O'Reilley on the Tony Snow show and he was waxing all pompous and big headed about himself. How Kerry is going to have to give him an interview in essence, or else.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see someone ask Kerry the hard questions and watch him squirm...but O'reilley has gotten far too full of himself IMHO...almost like his vote, support, and endorsement is up for whomever offends his sensibilities the least.

Hist talk and ignorance about the Swifties really set me off...followed by his supportive and (IMHO) placating comments regarding Kerry. Now, because Kerry hasn't responded to all of his gushing, so-called "fair treatment", he's acting like a cry baby as far as I am concerned.

[/end rant]

O'Reilly caved to Michael Moore. I don't think he'd do much better at interviewing Kerry.

I saw part of the interview, didn't watch the follow-up.

The President's statement that we are taking these steps in the ME and elsewhere so that our children and grandchildren won't have to was perfect.

When we talk about people who get IT or don't get IT, that is the IT being referred to.

I believe there are mainly three types of Americans on this issue.

Those who, like the President, get it and realize we need to act now or saddle future generations with a worse situation later.

Those who are selfish I,me,my types who aren't as concerned with there children’s future safety as they are about have a cushy ride while they are on this mortal coil.

The third type are just ignorant.

I've got no use for Bill O'Reilly any more. Used to never miss his show, but his show is too much about Bill any more. I watch CSI on Spike TV at 8 and it's much more interesting than Bill is any more.

Colmes is recently married which may explain his pallor. Hope all is well with him in that he seems to have a good heart. His mind, however, is out there.

You know...you're right, I'd forgotten about that. Just add that to my rant above and let it intensify it by another factor.

I tuned in the first two nights and was totally p.o.'d that O'R had two people bash away at the President after his interview segment. So I didn't watch last night. When are these people going to realize that they're losing listeners/watchers. I'm one of those people who remembers what the words "loyal listener" meant. Wonder who he'll have on after the interview with Kerry, if it happens.

They will be showing the interview in its entirety on the evening of November 1st.

Agree; though he has always looked scary; he now looks even more so. Wondered myself if he was 'ok' or what. But concluded along your lines, that just being a liberal for tooooo long takes a nasty toll.

Oh, I agree. Bush did great.

My comments were all directed at O'Reilley being so unabashedly full of himself over it. His comments on the Tony Snow show reveal him for being in it for whomever will give him the greatest PR lift and (in his estimation) raise his star. His gate will clearly swing whichever way that is.

Always been that way...since the revolution.

IMHO, the three types are: (1) those who get as regards liberty and its cost...(2) those who are complacant and only worried about them and the here and now...and (3) the third are the enemies amongst us (like the Torries were back then) striving for the aims of the other side.

I'd group the ones you call ignorant in with number two and make room for the enemies...but that's just my opinion.

Agree about O'Reilly; he continues to descend on my list. He seems to have confused 'fair and balanced'reporting as synonomous with the Liberal PC 'equal playing field' journalism; that all positions are equal - that Repubs and Democrats are equal in their 'ideas' of what is right. And criticises those who protest, as no more than the 'radical fringe'.

The casualty of course, is the 'truth'; and O'Reilly does not get that. And he is arrogantly smug about not getting it.

Don't think there is a chance in hell; that Kerry will go there - on the 'Factor' that is. . .
