KVI, Fox News Partner For First Fox-Branded Radio Station

KVI Talk Radio 570 in Seattle and Fox News have partnered to provide the first Fox News branded radio station in the country. KVI will feature Fox News personalities and radio news updates. The station's new moniker will be "KVI Talk Radio 570…Fox News and talk radio."

KVI's lineup will include shows hosted by Fox News personalities Tony Snow, Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes.

"We're thrilled to be the first station in America to partner with Fox News in this way," said KVI Radio Program Director Paul Duckworth. "Our listeners love and trust Fox News, so we're teaming up with them to deliver Fox News and Talk on the radio."

Said Jack Abernethy, executive vice president, Fox News, "KVI Talk Radio is a well managed and highly respected talk radio station. We look forward to this innovative partnership with them."

KVI General Manager Rob Dunlop identifies the KVI-Fox News partnership as "unprecedented in the radio industry and one that will give listeners the best of all worlds, particularly during the current election season."

In addition to the national Fox News programming, eleven year KVI veteran Kirby Wilbur will continue as host of the KVI morning show and long-time KVI talk show host John Carlson will remain behind the microphone from 3:00 and 6:00 in the afternoon.

I don't listen to KVI anymore since Rush and Medved moved to 770.

I still like the local personalities - Kirby Wilbur and John Carlson. But Rush rules on 770!

Agreed, although I sometimes listened to John Carlson ... but no more! As soon as I heard Colmes whiny voice on KVI, I deleted their preset ... never to return!

BTW, did you see where KVI, since losing Rush, has fallen from 5th in the Seattle market to 22nd. KTTH, since picking up Rush, has risen to 4th (I believe that prior to Rush they were 24th).

Not much of a choice in the evenings - Colmes or O'Reilly. My radio goes dark.

Do you ever listen to Thor Tolo on KGNW 820 from 4 to 6 pm? I like him better than Carlson or Savage.
