Not really. It's not uncommon for aftershocks to creep up or down the fault. This is pretty normal for the area, as that section of the fault relieves stresses. It's a long way from there to San Francisco.

What get me about SF is their lack of fore thought.

If you took a aerial picture of the city and marked all the hospitals with a red dot, then connected those dots you would get ....


The San Andreas fault line through SF.
