NATIONAL GUARD RESCUE SIX TURKISH FROM KIDNAPPING
The individuals of 203 battalion of the Iraqi National Guard have foiled a kidnapping attempt launched by the terrorists near Dijel district on 27th September against Turkish persons as the individuals of battalion were on patrols once they saw terrorists attempting to kidnap a vehicle carries six Turkish persons.Notably, those Turkish are contractors working at Kelok Brown company and rented a car for transporting them to Turkey.Later on, the troops of the national guard clashed with the terrorists and forced them to retreat.

He submitted a memorandum to the chief national assembly concerning this question.Meanwhile, another member proposed hosting Aiyham al- Samaree the Minister of Electricity in the coming sessions , to explain the causes behind the increase of electricity cuts in Baghdad and other cities , referring that Basra is suffering a shortage in the hours of the electricity reached one hour on and four hours off.On his part, Hameed Majeed Moussa the chairmanship board member, the deputy chief of the assembly demanded to host Hoshiar Zibari the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Iraqi Premier to clarify Iraq's final position regards the international conference to discuss the elections in Iraq.Dr. Humam Hammoudi said that making the elections in the specific time is the suitable solution for ending the occupation and put an end for the repercussions of the security situation in Iraq.
OIL MINISTRY ADOPTS MECHANISM FOR TRANSPORTING KEROSENE TO POPULATION Baghdad, As-Sabah, Sept 29, Page 1 The Ministry of Oil has approved a mechanism for distributing the kerosene starting from 1st October 2004 depending on the food ration card and by 150 oil vendors besides the filling stations distributed in Baghdad.A source at the Ministry said that the distribution will be in accordance with the family members.He confirmed that the ministry has a tremendous reserve from the kerosene reached millions liters , saying that the state company for oil products distribution denied to supply stations with this material as the deceivers sought to buy kerosene and mixed it with some lubricants to be sell later on as a gasoline or to be smuggled.The source added that the decided prices are 5 dinars for the kerosene liter, 10 dinars for gas oil , 20 dinars for benzene liter and 50 dinars for improved benzene.

Riyadh Hamoudi the director general of the construction planning at the ministry said that the ministry put this figure for making the basic designs of the cities at a cost worth of 375 millions Iraqi dinar as well as modernizing the detailed designs for the cities at a total cost more than 2 billions Iraqi dinar further for modernizing the basic designs of the districts.
FOREIGN ELECTRICITY EXPERTS BACK TO IRAQ Baghdad, As-Sabah, Sept 29, Page 1 A number of foreign electricity specialists and experts working in the field of the electricity promotion have returned to Iraq to contribute in achieving the important tasks in the field of electricity.An official source at the ministry said that within the plan to make available the electricity during the winter and lessen hours of the power cuts, a number of projects and additional units were accomplished to be operated gradually.About 150 MW will be added to the electricity grid instead of 55 megawatt supplied currently from Turkey.He added that the electricity energy supplied from Iran measures up 80 MW.
