First, I haven't said there were no connections. And the "false" debunking you reference relates to a specific claim and a specific event - exactly as Peach posted, that a "high-ranking Fedayeen officer" attended a 9/11 planning meeting. The 9-11 commission report explicitly rejects this, and notes that it is based upon a case of mistaken identity - two men with similar names. Look it up.

Now, if you want to contend that this did, in fact, happen, come with some evidence. Otherwise, you can take your spew elsewhere. No sale.

The reference from Peach was to a "pre-planning meeting" so you debunked something she didn't say. Good job.

It is quite likely that Saddam was very aware that 911 was coming. Maybe even precisely.

What you didn't mention is that Shakir is definitely an Iraqi who attended a 9/11 planning session.

(NOTICE: The 9/11 Commission Report released July 22 contradicts thespeculation about Shakir's identity. Buried in Footnote 49 of Ch. 6:

Commission Report: Mihdhar was met at the Kuala Lumpur airport by Ahmad Hikmat Shakir, an Iraqi national. Reports that he was a lieutenant colonel in the Iraqi Fedayeen have turned out to be incorrect. They were based on a confusion of Shakir's identity with that of an Iraqi Fedayeen colonel with a similar name, who was later (in September 2001) in Iraq at the same time Shakir was in police custody in Qatar.)
