Any Sunday there can be a bad call. It wasn't just this game.

Spoken like a person who's team benefited from the bad calls.

...and could you stop bringing up the time outs issue, you are ruining my diatribe.

In 2001, the 'Skins literally screwed themselves again by opting to run in instead of kick the extra point. The Redskins had a chance to score late in the first half, having marched to the Dallas 37. But instead of calling on place kicker Conway for a 53-yard field goal attempt -- or trying a short pass to shorten the distance Schottenheimer called for a touchdown pass, which fell incomplete. A second throw was also incomplete.

This time the 'Skins, in an attempt to be tricky (and I liked the creativity of the play), decided to go without huddle causing mass confusion on their line and a penalty to the Cowboys once AND the erosion of their timeouts (picture Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty saying "ERODING ERODING ERODING!!). That cost them the game. Sorry to ruin your tirade. BUT, like the democrats, personal responsibility is a factor.

Sometimes it's bad luck. Sometimes it's bad decisions. Sometimes it's both.

As for the Cowboys... Well, let's talk about that game against the Giants. I'm still riled about the 26-yard pass interference call against Kevin Smith. The call set up Charles Way's 3-yard touchdown run that made it 20-9 with 6:18 left.

Giants receiver Chris Calloway, not Smith, should have been flagged for interference.

The guy grabbed the back of Smith's jersey when Smith was reaching for the ball. Sometimes I think they forget who holds who, that's definitely what happened.

Then there was that stupid hands-to-the-face penalty against tackle Erik Williams with the Cowboys perched at the Giants' 2. The call forced Dallas to settle for a Richie Cunningham field goal.

The guy placed his head there - Erik didn't reach up and grab his face mask. There was no intent there ... It's just one of those calls at the wrong time. And how do I know so much about that game? I had $100 on it.

So, be nice. Or I'll give you a timeout.

*snicker*
