Glenn Beck's Media Fund "guarding Alabama" ad?
frumanchu

For the past two days Glenn Beck has been playing an anti-Bush Media Fund radio ad that makes reference to Bush's position that the admissions policies at the University of Michigan discriminated against whites and makes a snide comment about Bush "guarding Alabama" instead of going to VietNam. It was the most blatant race baiting thing I've ever heard. I've been killing myself trying to track it down on the web and I cannot find it anywhere.

Does anyone have a link to a clip of this ad, or at least a transcript of it?

I believe Hannity has it on his site - also Laura- Hannity had the guy that made the ad on his show a couple of days ago and he plays the ad often

The Bush camp needs to get a hold of some of these ads and play them to the general public. The blatant racism would certainly backfire on the bigotted left. Beck is doing a good job exposing this.

Please do not insult our inteligence with this. How long have you been listening to Beck? One show?

O'Reilly is an arrogant pompus wind bag who is in love with his own voice.

Beck's show is totally different...go away and come back when you have listened to his show for a year.

Well Glen...I did my part...where's my $20?

I was a young kid in the army from 70-74, so I overlapped a bit with the pres.

I hope everyone realizes that the drawdown began in about 72. Everyone should also realize that one of the safest things to do during Vietnam was to JOIN the ACTIVE Army for 3 or 4 years....you got to pick your occupation.

The National Guard wasn't necessarily any better a place to hide out than anyplace else.

Also, joining the NAVY was almost certainly going to keep 90+ percent out of harm's way.

Those who should be held in high esteem for risk taking would be anyone who joined as an Army or Marine combat arms specialty.

"I hope everyone realizes that the drawdown began in about 72. ....."

The willfully ignorant (Rather, Mapes and most of TV's "cocking heads") are more than happy to overlook this fact. I was drafted in 1971, and got out in '73. Like almost everyone else, I did NOT serve my full term, but was given a 3 1/2 month "early drop." That Bush got out early? SO WHAT? So did everybody.

Glenn Beck and Gasbag O'Really have ZERO in common.

If you are going to make a comment, make one that makes sense.

Hannity had it on last Thursday. He played it and asked guest Jesse Jackson if he agreed with the racist advertisement. I believe it is being played on hip hop radio stations.

I don't think you understood the poster. He thinks the anti-Bush ad is racist and demeaning, not that Glenn beck is anti-Bush, racist or demeaning.

(singing)"This is the Glenn Beck program. Nothing rhymes with program." This song is an ear worm that torments me all day long, but I love Glenn's show.

I can't find the particular ad in question there. It refers to a few other ads along the same lines, but not the specific one I'm looking for.

Thanks for the link though
