The documents were forged, but the intent of the people signing them is clear: they want Nader on the ballot. Therefore, Nader should be allowed on the Ohio ballot...

This is both good and bad. Assuming Nader is indeed off the Ohio ballot, it means that he will spend more time in other states where he will cause Lurch even more damage -- Minnesota and Wisconsin, for starters.

Assuming Bush will win Ohio comfortably, this may be net good news.

The 15,000 signatures were pared to 6,400 after local election board scrutiny. Ken Blackwell then found that 2,700 of those were fraudulent and cut the number of valid signatures to 3,700, which is 1,300 short.

We need to start spreading the word that Naderites can still vote for Nader by writing in his name regardless of his ballot status. In Georgia in 2000, Nader got 13,432 votes (0.52% of the total) as a write in---Nader actually got 2,500 more votes than Pat Buchanan, who was on the ballot.

Democrat situational tactics will come back to roost every time. Is there anything problematic for them that they can't judge shop for as a solution? A solution which they then later will need reversed in order to support the next need to obfuscate the law.
