The Democrats are likely to lose the Catholic vote in November—and John Kerry could well lose the election as a result. It’s about abortion, stupid. And “choice,” make no mistake, is killing the Democratic Party.

The guys I went to Catholic school with growing up all became Reagan Democrats are now almost exclusively Republicans. When you add Gay Marriage to the mix, and this is on the ballot in Ohio, it spells a complete disaster for Kerry among non-union Catholics.

Yeah. I think this is sort of a delayed reaction.

There's a lot of cafeteria Catholics out there, no one can deny. But I think the majority of Catholics, especially the church-going ones, are a bit more solid on a bit more stuff than sometimes folks give them credit for.
