This is absolutely repulsive, why was he not defended by anyone? Probably because they didnt know he was a soldier. In previous articles, he says people had to ask him if he was one that thank him.
Many folks like a fight...but this beating was allowed to go on too long for even a punk who deserved it. THis man didnt.

April 1969 in San Franciso where I landed on my return from 12 month tour in Nam, and was foolish enough to wear my dress greens downtown.
None should be surprised by how spun-up the wackos get. It's the same sort of bias media coverage and hate America crowd today as we had back then.
