Beware of rampant kooknuttery regarding quake predictions.
99% of people offering them are frauds through a variety of methods, such as making quite vague predictions repeatedly...the blown forecasts get forgotten, and when they (inevitably) get a "hit" then people publicize it to the hilt.
The other issue is that if you have 100 frauds, kooks, nuts, and psychics making quake predictions every month, if you DO have an earthquake by sheer dumb luck ONE of the assorted frauds will have successfully "predicted" it.
