Funny thing is Dick Morris is wrong. He may like to believe kerry will be forced to admit his position on Iraq, but in reality, kerry will flounder and flip-flop as usual, making himself look worse than he already has, and dig his own hole deeper.
I think you're right. He has to be ambiguous so he can spin and re-interpret it a day later, if need be. Besides, on nationwide hookup (as we called it in the Stone Age) he's going to have to take a center position, and few lefties will be shaken loose. Like fleas, their choice is to hop on the dog or suffer in the Bushes.
Any points he loses will be for more fundamental reasons, like how he's buttugly as a gila monster.
