Great that the hostages were released...however if the news that a ransom was paid, then long term this is very bad news. A hostage here, a million there, can buy a lot of weapons and support of the locals. I've been reading a lot of stories where the local population is getting paid for anti-american activities since they have no jobs.

I think they might be a little more careful with women because of the backlash even from muslims. I wish we could catch all these bastards and then do a little beheading on them.

If these women weren't beheaded it's only because 1) the kidnappers were paid off or 2) that some senior terrorist decided the backlash would be worse than the gain in showing the world they were murdered.

Pukes like these shot little kids in the back recently, don't forget.

All that said, I hope it's true and that these women can eventually heal from their ordeal.

I think the beheading story was floated out there to see what the response was, and when they realized that everyone in the world was shocked and disturbed by it, even their own people, they realized they'd better find a way to save face.
