Very True!
I'm wiping tears out of my eyes now.
Fall in
awwwwwwwwww, little guy! God Bless him.
Thanks for the ping!
Thanks for the ping. :-)
Thanks for the ping SandRat!
The rest of you guys gotta see this story -- especially you TXRadioguy -- Ft. Riley ping!
And bring your hankies....
Thanks for the ping Star. This is a beautiful story.
Well now you got me all dewey-eyed.
Great post.
Godspeed, Philip.
Would you like me to see if I can get the guys a chance to visit the National Guard troops?
My son was going to school at Spartan, and my daughter-in-law was a medic with the local Guard unit there a little over a year ago. They may still have connections...
It would be a pleasure...
Whew! Glad I have a BIG box of tissues close at hand. I needed them. This is so touching!
The soldiers at Ft. Riley obviously made young Philip's dream come true, a day he'll remember. I hope the memories will help get him through tough times ahead.
Awesome story bump. Prayers for the Shriver family (especially young Phillip). God bless the men & women of our military. Thanks for posting this.
One more ping for Philip
Thank you! I called and got the info where to send it yesterday, we put the pictures in the mail and a letter of appreciation from me too at 4pm yesterday...they should get it by tomorrow.
They taught this kid well. He's wearing his Army gloves!
We'll see what comes of our letter we sent...make no mistake, although my boys get a hugh kick out of them flying over...I go absolutely nuts. My husband says they reason they circle the house is because they want to get a better look at that crazy woman on the ground! LOL
This is the letter I wrote...no references to the circling, so nobody will get in trouble if they're not supposed to be doing it.

A perfect letter!
Oh wow!
I am sniffling in my coffee now. God bless everyone at Ft. Riley.
My SIL volunteers with MAW and personally, I think it is a great organization.
Yes, it does wonderful work.
Sick children are children first, and they are growing up while they are afflicted.
The growing up part should be kept first in mind, and the illness second.
