A true story reveals the bias of the liberal media not because these news organizations ran the story but because they refuse to touch it with a ten foot pole. It is the true story of Steven dJ. Pitken, a Viet Nam soldier who appeared at the "Winter Soldier Investigation" conducted in 1971 in Detroit by reserve Navy Lt(jg). John Kerry and his group of Viet Nam Veterans Against the War. Steven Picket now states that Lt(jg). John Kerry forced him to lie in his public testimony.
According to the affidavit signed by Mr. Pitkin, on August 31, 2004, he rode in a van to Detroit with Lt(jg). John Kerry, a national leader of the VVAW from Washington D.C. to Detroit in 1971 to attend an anti-war conference to publicize alleged American war crimes in Viet Nam. Mr. Pitkin states in his affidavit that he had no personal knowledge of such war crimes and, if they did occur, he had never heard of them.
Mr. Pitkins states that Kerry and others pressured him to testify about American war crimes he had no knowledge of. ...

Not to be overly critical of the author, but the first paragraph looks like it calls this gentleman by both the surnames "Pitkin" and "Picket". I'd love to see this matter better covered by the MSM, but it's hard to take a report credibly when it doesn't appear to be able to remember the name of the start witness consistently.
Please get spellcheck and an editor.
Steve Pitkin's story really needs publicity!
He was at the Vietnam vets rally in D.C. a few weeks ago, where he told the vets that he was sorry for what he had done. The vets there cheered him for his courage in coming forward. He stated that Kerry personally coached him in what to say about atrocities committed by our troops in Vietnam. I haven't received my copy yet, but I think I saw a clip of the documentary Stolen Honor, showing the "witnesses" being coached before telling their "stories" at the Winter Soldier "Investigations".
Rush and Hannity need to get Pitkin on their shows, and this man could really help the Swiftvets.
sometimes it is called a typo. How about cutting us a little slack. If you are looking for perfection, may I suggest, well never mind.
I do appreciate your comments,
Believe me, I understand typos. My point was not to be critical, really. My point is that any attempt to publicize this must be extremely accurate - in fact as well as in presentation. If there is ANYTHING in the report that gives the MSM a hook to ignore it, they will.
Sorry if I came across too heavy handed.
John O'Neill was also at the Vietnam Vets rally in D.C. I hope he and Steve Pitkin met and discussed future Swiftvet ads.
Yours, that's whose.
we are a small unpaid stff, I do promise, we will try to do better.
Please regard any criticism I offer (at any time) to be constructive, not destructive. When I want to be cutting, I use heavy sarcasm. This is an important story, and I hope your gathered news will be trumpeted far and wide.
Good luck!
thank you.
