Carroll goes farther and farther away from Christianity with every word he writes. In his last book, as I recall, he argued that the gospels themselves were fatally flawed because they promote hatred for Jews. In his mind, his "faith" is grounded in a Jesus that he knows better than the writers of the New Testament did . . . because, of course, he made that Jesus in his own image. It's easy to see why he identifies with Kerry.
Promoting abortion on demand and the manufacture of human embryos in labs to be slaughtered for medical research have never been permissable for Catholics. Nor could they EVER be. Kerry is hopelessly deranged and off the High-Weirdness radar in Frankenstein land.
