I believe it is because he finds John "fab" and "dreamy".

Did he give a reason, I think I missed it somehow.>>>

The fact that I am voting Bush (and I am) does not erase the fact that he is FRIGHTFULLY fiscally irresponsible. The level of domestic spending under Bush and the pub congress approaches the criminal.

Blindly calling everyone who does not dreamily chant "4 more years" a RINO is as stupid as the cretins on the left.

Responsibility used to be observed in foreign affairs. That has meant respect for others.

The greatest respect a nation can give for other peoples is to fight and die for their freedom.

John Eisenhower's father knew this.

I'm sure there is not a single veteran of World War 2 that if given the chance over again, knowing now what they didn't know then, would prefer to wait for the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Every soldier would demand to take proactive action against the axis of powers that brought so much death and misery to the world, half a century ago.

That is precisely what George W. Bush is doing.

He is the Winston Churchill of our time.

In fact, 50 years from now, historians will reluctantly speak of Bush and Churchill in the same voice.

However, of the two, it was only Bush that had the power as well as the foresight to take the battle to the enemy on his turf.

How different the world might have been if Churchill had had the same power.

"Did he give a reason, I think I missed it somehow..."

Thinking the same thing, believe it had to do with the widening socio-economic gap.

Just another leftist dreaming of a socialist utopia here on earth.

Just more naive and ignorant thinking. However, one should not be surprised, it is their way after all.

"In the Middle East crisis of 1991, President George H.W. Bush marshaled world opinion through the United Nations before employing military force to free Kuwait from Saddam Hussein. Through negotiation he arranged for the action to be financed by all the industrialized nations, not just the United States. When Kuwait had been freed, President George H. W. Bush stayed within the United Nations mandate, aware of the dangers of occupying an entire nation."

He looks very foolish with this. Evidently he missed Kerry's vote against Bush 41's war. I wonder how this character makes his living now. What connections he has. Does he live in PA-- Terry Ketchup's backyard?

P.S. How on Earth is George Bush responsible for outsourcing? Who signed NAFTA? And the Patriot Act is by no means the scary thing this character pretends it is.

This is a pretty incoherent essay. And Ike Eisenhower was definitely a somebody, but John really isn't. Perhaps, it would be good for him to keep his political preferences to himself.

It is extraordinary how two sons of Republican Presidents (Ron Jr. and this guy) who didn't amount to much so resent that George W. Bush has.

"Did he give a reason, I think I missed it somehow."

"-The fact is that today’s “Republican” Party is one with which I am totally unfamiliar. To me, the word “Republican” has always been synonymous with the word “responsibility,” which has meant limiting our governmental obligations to those we can afford in human and financial terms. Today’s whopping budget deficit of some $440 billion does not meet that criterion.-"

Basically, he's not happy with the Republican Party. So, instead of doing what a conservative would REALLY do (work hard within the system to affect change) he is going to take the lazy way (do nothing but b!tch), thereby putting the entire nation at risk with what amounts to a "Spite" vote.
