You and your millions of imaginary friends can go rise somewhere else - maybe you call all meet in a linen closet somewhere. I am sure there will be room to spare.

All they really have to do, if they're so concerned with the border, is to click here. Put their money where their mouths are.

The fact of the matter is that uncontrolled immigration is a problem. The fact is also that some proposed solutions to this problem are unconstituitional; some are absurd; and there is very little give. Some loudmouths won't be satisfied with anything less that machine gun nests and minefields, and they're the ones dominating the debate.

Every person is entitled to the equal protection of the law. That's the founding princple of this nation. Until it's proven false by the Government through due process in a court of law, any person must be considered a citizen and immune from deportation.

I have no problem with holding and deporting people caught sneaking across the border; have hearings right there at the B.P. base. In fact, I don't think that a hearing is presently even required - the Border Patrol can turn people away without judicial recourse, at least at airports. Giving appearance tickets and then expecting people to show up for the hearing does seem quite silly.

I agree 100%. I just reject the paradigm that sees it as either 'you are for an open border" vs "get the soldiers and shoot them on sight."

I have said explicitly said illegeal immigration is a problem. I have also explicitly said that shooting runners on sight is not realistic, nor a popular tactic.

There is a range of options between the two - people need to look at them all and stop wanting to play 'army.'
