Well, they say there are entire villages lying empty in Mexico. Okay, let's pretend we're Germany or France and millions of the other country's citizens swarm over the border lookign for work and a better life. What would they do? Send them home? Europe is talking to Israel about expert help in building a wall to keep out poor Eastern Europeans...Latvians? We need a solution to this problem, and other than invading Mexico again and fixing the joint, what are our options? They are invading us. And if that isn't enough, we're worried that terrorists are infiltrating, too.
Yeah, I know. "They" say a lot.
Leaving aside terrorism for a moment, the most serious problem here with uncontrolled mass migration, is the difference in culture/socioeconomic mores. We will never be able to assimilate that many people all at once and so, we'll lose our national identity, and with it, all that makes this country great. Maybe we need a national dialogue about it. Maybe we should simply ask Mexico to become another state...which they won't because of cultural/socio...differences. When NAFTA was bandied about, etc., there was much talk about erasing borders throughout the hemisphere, making one free trading zone. For some reason, Canada doesn't seem keen on this arrangement...the erasing borders part.
I am amazed (it seems something shocks me every week) at how las Vegas has taken on the look of baja. I have been to baja quite a few times. Many places in vegas look just like it.
It seems as if every fast food joint is staffed with non english speaking mexicans. They have one or two that can take your order. But it is frustrating because they use broken english and then they ask questions of others in spanish to get a answer to your question.
How wierd is it that way too often I am shopping and everyone around me is speaking spanish. Construction work is ALL most completely done by mexicans and you cannot communicate on the job site. that is very frustrating.
It is as if I am in baja. I dont begrude them wanting a better life nonetheless I am very concerned about the future of my son and others. Construction has been a way out of poverty for white and black males. For tha vast majority that finish high school, learning a trade is almost the only option to have a decent life and raise a family. That has been destroyed here in Vegas. Only the toughest will survive in a system that is slanted to cheap illegal mexican labor.
The mexicans do not want white boys on the job site let alone their crew. Way too many white boys cut and run because of the racism from illegal aliens. As I watch the existing white tradesmen grow old and retire I dont see many young white men learning the trades. This may be a short (very short) term fix for SS but I dont understand what the politicians are up to.
The only reasonable excuse for what they are allowing is to destroy the middle class, end national soveringty, erase the border. In other words bring down american might to third world status. It is happening before my eyes. Vegas is becoming mexico.
