I have read the LA Times my entire life and prior to Otis Chandler taking over and making the paper "main stream", the paper was very conservative and routinely endorsed GOP candidates.

L.A. Times May Break Tradition, Make Choice for PresidentLet me please correct this headline:
L.A. Times May Break Tradition, Openly Stump For Democrat Instead Of The Usual Practice Of Biasing Articles To Favor Democrats.
There. That's better.

As opposed to their regular "tradition" of skewing the "news" in a way that is most favorable to whatever leftist they would prefer to win.

Regardless of whether a presidential endorsement is offered, Kinsley plans to write columns supporting the candidacies of George W. Bush and John Kerry, one of which may run as an endorsement editorial. Supporting the candidancy of George W. Bush? Since when?? What a crock why don't they just come out and say they are endorsing Kerry. We All Know its going to be him. Who are they kidding?

I'd say it's a good thing: we all know where the LAT stands. They might as well make it official.
