Did this party at one time have some morals or was I just misguided in thinking that?There was a time when this party believed in staying out of people's personal lives AND their bedrooms.

I'm sorry, I think you're talking about the Libertinian Party. The GOP has long been the conservative party and has never really been about deconstructing society. If these issues were not once hot button, it is only because our society had not been so degenerate.
