You're totally wrong. The solution to the gay marriage issue is a private sector one. In this era of almost outright socialism, how dangerous would it be to call for a Constitutional Convention, especially one that would NEVER PASS. Face it, 2/3 of the Congress and the Legislatures are never going to pass that amendment.

Even Christians like myself would work tirelessly to make sure that what is left of our Constitution would not be further eroded by a vocal minority among us. The perversion of our Constitution in this manner would be far more dangerous than some gays getting "married".

A more prudent course of action would be to call for an end to government-sanctioned marriages, which are more a perversion of the institution than gay marriages. This way, you would only have to clean house on the "churches" that are marrying gays, as the government would not (which it shouldn't anyway) have the power to do so.

That a man and a woman should have to ask the governments permission, and get a license to get married in front of God, is an outrage! Far greater an outrage than some gays getting "married" (which isn't possible anyways!)

I respectfully disagree.

I agree that a constitutional convention would be fatal. I never called for one.
