Without the "Holy Rollers" there would be no Republican Party with enough voters to elect the likes of Reagan, Bush41 and Bush43 President or to give the GOP control of the Congress either."

So far I've seen the extreme rigth wing, the Keyes people, the Religious Right, the NRA, to name just a few, say THEY and they alone were the reason Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43 were elected.

You all need to make up your minds which ones of you did it.

And if 4 million of you sat home in 2000 for spite, I wouldn't be telling people that "you" put Bush in office.

Howlin,

First the quote in your post addressed to me, was written by Reagan Man, not me but I agree completely.

Now to answer you in reference as to who put George Bush in power.

I believe that despite your sarcasm, you understood my post and my point. Bush was elected by many different groups including Conservative Christians of many denominations and affiliations. I never stated that we alone elected Bush but we certainly were a big portion of the vote and without our vote he would not have been elected.

As for the Conservatives that sat home both Christians and non Christians, I personally believe that a protest non vote is a disservice to the nation as was illustrated years ago by the protest votes cast by many Republicans and Conservatives in general for Perot against Bush 1. This only served to bring disaster to the Presidency with the election of Clinton.
