First Print Story on the Outing of Congressman David Dreier on the Internet
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- San Gabriel Valley Congressman David Dreier is the latest GOP member to be outed as a homosexual Republican by Mike Rogers, former development director for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, and his blogactive.com Web site. Doug Ireland, longtime radical political journalist, media critic and self-described purveyor of "investigative opinion," defends the outing and assesses Dreier's political future in this first discussion of the outing in the print media. Already Ireland's story has caused a stir. Several radio stations have called Ireland for comment and many are debating whether Ireland should have kept the story on the Internet. "I have not the slightest doubt that the outing campaign initiated by Mike Rogers' blogactive.com and supported by Raw Story's reporting is accurate in exposing Dreier," Ireland insists. "Moreover, in the course of reporting this story, I talked to a gay member of Congress who has observed Dreier in gay behavior and is 100% sure, as this member told me, that Dreier is gay. And, clearly, Dreier's demagogic political homophobia justifies reporting the outing campaign targeting him."

but I also don't agree that we should be sticking our noses in other peoples bedroomsHow many times you have to be told? Celebrities, and politicians have no private life.
You want a private life? You best stay a nobody.
Besides, even if this weren't true, he's still a rat for panding to the illegals for 12 terms in office.

Even though he has a good ACU rating, I never did like David Dreier, or his other California buddy, Dana Rohrabacher. OTOH, Cong.Chris Cox is a good guy. Dreier and Rohrabacher have both been on the wrong side of certain California issues that I care about. Neither represent my area though. I'm not interested in Dreier's outing... I do care if their is corruption going on within his office.

Reading is fundamental. You should at least give it the old college try.So should you.

Not quite true. He was Arnie's top flack and he is pretty well given up any semblance of even pretending to believe in borders.

why is it when we give our opinion, we're being "judgmental"? We're entitled to an opinion.y The irony is found in this fact: Those who accuse conservatives of being "judgemental" for criticizing the leftist voting habits and beliefs of RINOs are themselves passing "judgement" on the voting habits and beliefs of conservatives (e.g., "You conservatives are bad, bad, bad to do that").
This should come as no surprise, since relativism is built on contradictions, and an irrational contempt for the laws of logic.

So you shouldn't be proud of YOURSELF for being redeemed, just humbly grateful to God the Father for accepting Christ's sacrifice to redeem us. Read my post number 257...Jesus wasn't "humble" when it came to defending the Word...
To: Lurking2Long
Well, some people never need to be redeemed.

Why's it always got to be about you? I can read other posts. Like talking to two people, it's part of a freewheeling, intelligent discussion.
Oops, there might be the problem.
To: Mo1
It would be if they had anything to say about it.

I just assumed, after reading your other posts, that that must be next on your list of assignments.

When someone in the family suffers from 'stinking thinking', I would hope someone else would persuade me of a better way, in all intelectual honesty. And being intellectually honest is by default not required to be a RINO...

Sorry... should have been more specific.
Dreier has a good conservative record that would appeal to all but single-issue conservatives.

You need to change the subject because I won't agree with you? Interesting.

Homosexual Agenda Ping - mostly of interest to Californians, I guess.
I can't really add anything - just read part of the long thread. "Gays" "outing" each other is poetic justice, kind of. It's like rats ratting on other rats. Skunks spraying other skunks.
Let me and Scripter know if anyone wants on/off this pinglist.
If Drier is a RINO, he should be replaced anyway, whether he's a sexual pervert or not.

I agree with all three of you, and all did and excellent job of showing the hypocrisy displayed by some here.
Thanks, I enjoyed it.
G'night.

I'm not sure where we are headed here culturally or demographically but from some perspectives it looks bleak even after we destroy the moonrockers...at least we seem to be sinking for now for many reasons.....life and ideas move so fast now...there is no grounding.....we have become anthropocentric humanists by default.
My views against homosexual activism much like my militantly anti-infanticide stance have nothing to do with my Christianity actually.
I view homosexual cultural encroachment as historically a cultural death knell and well, and opposing infanticide should not need explaining to any decent person period.
While most but not all of my social conservatism parallels non-apostate Christian views, I am not grounded in them nor do I use them to justify my views on the culture war...in fact almost never that I can think of do I use the Bible as justification.
Nor do I feel one need be perfect to have and voice an opinion.
And lastly...one of my favorites...an open mind is usually EMPTY.
To: radicalamericannationalist
The articles on Enron bear that out. Adultery and all other kinds of immorality were part of the culture, so it';s not shocking they cooked the books, too. Enron was about greed .. not gay
