LOS ANGELES Sept. 27, 2004 Johnnie Cochran Jr. was hospitalized Monday for additional tests and evaluation of a previously diagnosed neurological condition, a spokeswoman said.
The decision to admit the celebrity attorney to an undisclosed hospital was considered a precautionary move, according to a statement released Monday by publicist Pat Tobin.
In April, Cochran announced that he would temporarily curtail his work to receive treatment for the neurological condition. His family has requested that the nature of the condition, which is not life-threatening, remain private.
Cochran, 66, is best known for representing O.J. Simpson during his double-murder trial, and winning an acquittal.

Is an overabundance of nerve a nervous condition?
To: knak
I've met Johnny and actually spent some time with him. While I think his famous client was guilty, I still found him to be a very personable guy.

After all those years of getting on some people's nerves...
Now, he has a few more (or less) of his own to contend with.

He recently had brain surgery. He's been very quiet about his illness.
My best to the man for a speedy recovery.

Does he have Parkinson's disease? Or maybe MS? I can't think of any other major neurological diseases.
